“They” wish they could just shake it off.
“They” do try to keep positive.
“They” know it’s just “in their head.”
“They” can’t control when “it” takes over.
“They” hide what’s really going on in fear others won’t understand.
I am a part of “they”.
Depression.
Anxiety.
I fight it with laughter for the most part. Medication for when the laughter quiets. I post this at 1 am, not for likes, comments, or sympathy. I post this for those who are ashamed to admit it. I’m not ashamed. I’m a work in progress. I post this for mental health awareness. I post this to those who don’t understand, “they”. Understand that we do try. We try our hardest. Sometimes, “it” wins. But, we keep trying.
